Remember we are brethren
Ephesians 4:4-6
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called ; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Sometimes, when misunderstandings happen, we may fail to find common ground, making it very difficult to reconcile and work towards peace. Today's reading gives us that common ground: our faith in God. This faith brought us together; we are made a family through that faith. When we take that understanding when dealing with our differences, we can remove things toxic to that common group and build on what edifies us. I see this principle also applicable in other situations where we have differences with close friends and family. Returning to what brought us together and why we are who we are will go a long way in helping us deal with differences that may arise along the way.
Prayer
Lord, we ask that you may help us in our relationships to work together towards peace, love, and oneness.
