Staying connected to God
Ephesians 4:17-19 17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

One of the things we must guard against is to lose sensitivity to God’s presence that is always in our midst. Both our attitudes and desires should guide us in the fear of God. We should never ignore the warning signs of our hearts beating when we are doing or about to do something we know is not right. Our minds should have a sense of shame to do bad things. We must not try to hide so that we feel less shame or have our hearts beat less, but rather, we must use these as warning signs reminding us of the dangerous path we are taking. Let us not ignore our conscience, but let it help us stay on the right path that pleases God.
Prayer
Help us to live as children of the light and may our conscience guide us into faithfully head the warning signs it gives us.
