One body of Christ
Ephesians 4:14-16 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

We are all called by Christ, who equips us with gifts so we can contribute to the growth of his body and the church. Our gifts are not the same, but our goal is to edify one another so that together we grow, and so will the body. This is to be done in the truth of God’s word and the love of Christ. Christ shows us how to live the truth and share with others while walking in love. When we can use our gifts in this way, we will bring a healthy contribution to the body of Christ. If one of these two (truth and love) goes missing, we become toxic and corrupt members of the body of Christ. So, follow the example of Christ and be a member of his body that pleases him.
Prayer
Lord, we thank you for calling us and equipping us with gifts. Guide us by your spirit so we may live truthfully and walk in love.
