One in Christ, One in Love

1 Corinthians 12:12-26 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free —and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

Fearfully and wonderfully made

Psalms 139:13-16 13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

Our frame was not hidden from the Lord when we were made in the secret place and woven together in the depths of the earth. In his wisdom, God knitted together each of our unique parts, and when he had finished everything, he looked at the work of hands, and behold, it was very good. We may have members of our bodies that we may not be so proud of or feel are a bit of a misfit, but today and every day, we must remind ourselves that God made it that way. So we must see the complete work of God and the doing of His hand in the man He created in his own likeness and image.

Prayer
Lord, thank you for your incredible work in creating us uniquely and beautifully.
