The vinedresser at work
God is the vinedresser who moves around his vine working to ensure that it is the best vineyard with the best fruits. What does he do to us as he works? Let us explore together this series of this wonderful vinedresser dealing with his vineyard.

He loves the vine
1 Let me sing for my beloved
my love song concerning his vineyard:
My beloved had a vineyard
on a very fertile hill.
2 He dug it and cleared it of stones,
and planted it with choice vines;
he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
and hewed out a wine vat in it;
and he looked for it to yield grapes,
but it yielded wild grapes. Isaiah 5:1-2
God loves his vineyard and because of that love, we see him making the decision to establish it. Therefore, the existence of the vineyard is built on the foundation of the love of God. He creates the vine from scratch. This message was written in reference to the Israelites and I believe God still speaks that same message to us who are chosen in Christ. “The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you” Deuteronomy 7:7-8. The love of God is very specific in that it is sent to each person individually.
